Let's just say that I love to decorate when an idea comes to mind and a good deal. I don't know if you are like me but I seriously will decorate a lot in my head and when I come across something that is exactly or close enough to what I imagined, I've got to have it. Sometimes the idea is in my head for years until I get the courage to do something about it. Let me remind you that I am very cheap and like a good deal. I got an email from Michael's with a 50% off coupon. Well I was so excited because Spencer and I have been decorating and paiting his room and needed some stuff to put in his room. He has had these pictures of football players that needed a frame. We found them at Michaels, it was a 2 pack frame for $7. You would think that $7 is a good deal, but not for Ari, I had my coupon and then dragged my kids into my cheapness' and had them stand in other lines with their coupons, let me tell you that the coupon was good for 3 days and I was there those three days to get more stuff for 50% off. Thank goodness that I lived close to the store so it wasen't a big drag. I know I'm crazy, but I really enjoy a good deal. It all started with Spencer's room and then I came across these mirrors that I had imagined on the wall in the hallway forever and it was the perfect one's, had to have it. My hallway upstairs has been empty for three years and it was about time to get those walls filled. Thanks to my wonderful husband to put stuff up for me on the walls with a hurt ankle! It's not completely done, but I thought it looked good until Spencer and Taylor said "mom, you've got to much stuff on the walls, I don't like it". I like that they are honest and everything, but boy did that hurt just a little and then to make myself feel better I said "they are just used to the walls being empty and for them to see them full was weird, right??." They also mentioned tha Miss Teresa is a much better decorator than I am, of course my friend Teresa is an interior decorator and very good at what she does. I do try to get ideas from her, so I thought I was doing. Oh well they are kids and kids are honest.
Here are some pictures of Spencer's room and the hallway(still in progress). Enjoy and any advice would be helpful, don't forget to be honest. =)

Yes that is Spencer sleeping! I realized I didn't have any pictures so I snuck in there and took one. Gotta love the aquarium blue!
Still in progress. See those skateboard wheels on his dresser? Well we are going to put them up on the wall and it's going to hold his hats. I saw it at my friends house and it's looks cool.
Here is my hallway upstairs. As you can see I'm not done. The wall on the right still needs more work.
The mirrors at the end of the hallway is what started it all. I had imagined those mirrors there and found them and had to have them. Then decided it was time to decorate the rest of the empty walls.
Here is the wall that the boys where a little to honest. =(( I'm not done with this wall either, I need to put pictures in the frames and add more art work or picture frames.
Any advice??? Send them my way.

I really like your hallway! I wish I had a hallway to hang things up in... ah well, one day when we grow up and move out of a condo :o) If you go to ratemyspace.hgtv.com, you can upload your pictures of your projects, and then people can comment on them, and give you 3 stars, or 4 stars, or whatever. And, then you can look at all the five star rooms, and be totally in awe :o)
Thanks Erica! I went on it and got some advice. I love this website...it's awesome to look and get good ideas.
I think you've done a great job! I've run out of wall space ( not much wall space in my house...big windows). I love putting things up...then later I change my mind and find new places for those things. I'm super cheap too! You are not alone :) Good luck!! Love you guys
I love the mirrors. I love the other things too. I think an idea would be to line pictures of your kids up. My friend had some her pictures in a 11x14s with out frames. just have them mounted and sprayed. I did her kids pics. I did close of mostly just their faces. then she got an decorative iron bar on the bottom of the pictures to balance it out. Just an Idea. -Sarah :)
Or find a Large piece of artwork that you love. It should be large maybe 4 ft x 4 ft. thats all you would need. Sometimes simpicity is all you need. I think that the artwork would fall into place with your mirrors. I think this is better than my other idea. Sarah :)
